About Me
It all began in the year 2013 when I started travelling around different cities for running these half and full marathons and also exploring cities and towns adjacent to Chennai on my cycle. Got into writing a little bit of my experience, interspersed with some photos on Facebook.
This kind of stayed on with me and during the time I went to Cambodia in 2016 for a short work assignment, I returned back armed with this bunch of amazing photographs shot across in Angkor Wat and a few other exquisite locales in Cambodia and Vietnam.
And like most travelling folks do, splashed them on Facebook and just when it started getting a bit painful in answering so many of those inquisitive minds who were wanting to know the whereabouts of all these places, I wrote some paragraphs of text and left it as a prelude to the pictures. Seeing the interwoven text and disconnected pictures, a good friend and college mate of mine, Atul Mathur suggested to me saying I should write a blog. And thus was born the idea in 2017-2018 of penning down these Travelogues or TravBlogs as I like calling them.
And having written my 5th blog, was wondering about why not have everything in a common placeholder which would give folks an idea of what theme they want their holidays to be centered around or choose from a mix of Adventure, Spiritual, Beaches, Mountains, Hill Stations, Wildlife and so much more. Thus was born the idea of creating this Website of my own. All credit again due to the same buddy who helped and guided me pick the various threads and weave them together.
The objective of building this was to help families and backpackers relive these journeys through my lens, share some of the do’s and don’ts and try and help microdetail the places of interest with some mind boggling snaps. Feel free to reach out to me at smohan760@gmail.com for any queries on travel or even if you have a suggestion to leave behind on what could be more resonating for you. While I would be adding more pages to this website, the objective was to share the multitude of travel experiences across different locales to give one a flavor and a perspective.
Would love getting into designing customized itineraries sometime in the future which would ease the efforts people otherwise have to put on narrowing down through looking up multiple places of websites for travel, food, places to see and so much more …. S.Mohan
